This is a neighbors helping neighbors program which was started in 1996. We are dedicated to helping the residents of Keowee Key with temporary transportation and the ability to remain in their own homes. KeoweeCares creates a low cost, volunteer-based model that addresses the three major impediments to continued home occupancy:
 1) Losing the ability to drive,
 2) the increasing need for outside support,
 3) structural barriers within the home. It  also funds the printing and distribution of magnetic   card sets that give emergency crews vital information about a victim's medications and allergies when responding to a call.
