In case you can't, call 944-8758 before 5:00 PM, a day or more in advance, and tell the 'machine' what you need. Yeah, we know you hate 'machines', but we don't have anyone willing to sit by the phone all day, waiting for your call)! Keowee Key's free service operates from 8:30 to 5:00 each weekday and covers all destinations within a 50 mile radius. If you have an early morning appointment for diagnostic tests, we can usually find a driver who will take you. Charlotte and Atlanta are beyond our normal area, but ask; usually we can help.

A dispatcher will retrieve your call at around 6:00 PM, call you to discuss your requirement in detail, then match you up with one of the drivers that are on stand-by for each weekday.

Normally, you will have a volunteer assigned to you for however long you need him. Don't even offer to 'reimburse him' for the gas; were he to accept any compensation, it would invalidate his insurance coverage.

Your driver can also take you to the Greenville airport, but will not pick you up upon your return. There are just too many flight delays and cancellations these days to make a pick-up practical. However, there are some commercial airport shuttle services on our Recommended Providers List that you may wish to check out for return transportation.
